Paint-staking Pieces

This is where I will discuss my current art projects. I can only hope that they will all be completed 'paint-stakingly'.

Alpaca Buddies

One of my regular places to paint now is at the LRAA Gallery in Tilton, NH when I am gallery sitting. I certainly make good use of my time there, particularly if it is a slow day. Sometimes it is quite busy and I never get to my painting - since the goal is to sell the artwork at the gallery, I certainly prefer having customers to painting.

A Different Perspective

I've been working on a couple of paintings that, although the size is nothing unusual for me, a 4"x4" square gallery-wrapped canvas, the way I'm painting on them is different. I was looking at the canvas and I turned it from a square shape to a diamond shape and I started painting on it. First I checked with Jim, who usually wires my canvases for me, and asked if this would be a problem wiring. He said 'no' and I was off and painting.

Here Comes More Fruit

twopears by DJ GeriboYes, I'm still on the fruit kick. But it makes sense to me that I would love to paint them so much because I also love to eat fruit and enjoy fruit and yogurt almost every morning for breakfast. As I've mentioned before, I have even bought fruit (and veggies) because I thought I would like to do a painting of them.

In this painting, the two pears, a red and a d'anjou, are just hanging out on my counter, waiting to be cut up into a fruit salad. Yum!

I Love Fruits and Veggies

peach plum original painting by artist dj geribo webI'm not just talking about eating them but I love painting them, also. I have painted several now and the latest ones I've painted are these 5"x7" unframed pieces. Let me know what you think.

As my husband, Jim, says, everyone should own an original piece of art. And what better place to have it then where we spend a significant amount of time, in the kitchen! The small size will surely find a place on a wall or on a shelf (mini easels are included).

The price: $45 each!!!!

Spring Doings

With June just beginning it is time to start working on some new paintings. The Lakes Region Art Assoc, of which I am a member, has a summer awards show applegoberryand I want to have a couple of new pieces for it. I have also been working on a couple of small oils, still lifes, that I will probably display at one of the galleries where I am now showing my artwork. This is one of the pieces, apple/mango/strawberry, aka, applgoberry. I really enjoy painting still lifes like this 4"x4" gallery-wrapped piece. I think my fruit and veggie still lifes make great pieces for your kitchen walls.
